I am employed as an in-house lawyer while completing my legal qualification. I predominantly deal with commercial and consumer contracts and some regulatory work.
yes, I learn daily and my job allows me to develop soft skills as well as technical knowledge.
I enjoy the flexibility of the Apprenticeship programme and the support from my employer in achieving the goal. I feel that I am not alone on this journey and I have their full support.
We have a well established Apprenticeship Programme in the business, however, not in my area of expertise so to some degree it feels a little bit like my apprenticeship is paving the way. However, we are working collaboratively on achieving the goal so it makes the process a lot easier.
I feel well supported, both from coaching to facilitation aspects. We collaborate on making appropriate arrangements to ensure the success of the programme.
The course is quite fast paced and predominantly self study based which makes it a little challenging to some degree. I am also one of the first intakes for the new solicitor qualification route which is a little challenging for both myself and the training provider. However, it feels that they put their best effort in delivering the course given its novelty.
I think that it is pivotal to my role as it teaches me all the necessary skills I need for my job.
Our employer has a really rich and diverse schedule of activities. There is always something for everyone to get involved in and I am delighted to be a part of this little community.

I've worked for E.ON for over 16 years in various roles and I can say with hand on my heart that I can't think of a more supportive work environment, in particular for someone with good work ethic and ambition which they will always want to cultivate. E.ON invests in people and I am the best example of it as I move on from an admin role through E.ON funded legal degree to completing Solicitor qualification programme which I am coming to the end of now. You could say I am a fully home grown professional by E.ON.
Don't hesitate as you will find there is most likely a place for you in this hugely diverse company if you look closely.
