I am an apprentice vehicle technician. This involves carrying out repairs and diagnostics on vehicle that are brought into the garage, aswell as ensuring that the workshop is a clean and safe environment.
I have learnt how to remove and fit different components on many different types of vehicles which I was not able to do before I started on this course.
I enjoy the programme because it has taught me many new skills, it has also given me a chance to meet many different people from across the country.
It is well organised and structured because they have adjusted the programme so that there is a smaller gap between the online training and going down to college to practice the practical side of the learning.
I receive a good amount of support. However, I don't ask for it that much so I don't get loads of it, but I know that if i required more support then they would be more than happy to give it to me.
I receive a lot of support from the training provider because they have helped to make sure that I am as prepared for my End Point Assessment as possible.
The training that I receive from my training provider has helped me to become better at my job role because they have helped me to understand what I am doing more but also why I am carrying out tasks.
There aren't many but some of them do play 5 a side football every week but a few of us also follow/play for a few of the local rugby teams.
Yes
I would recommend this company because the people that work here are a nice group of people who are easy to get on with, but you can also have a joke around with them all and also get serious when you all need to be.
Make sure you are prepared to put some hard work but if you do, then you will enjoy it especially once you are past the half way mark because that's when the work gets more interesting.
