my role is to work with the sub-contractor and manger them and make sure that they are following there rules of site make sure that they are doing what has been planed and design as i am doing office fitouts for white city and make sure that we have it done by due date
i have learned how to use Asite ,intelex,4 point ,field view and Berkeley group intervention to be able to report any hazards , find drawing , technical drawing , floor layout ,report any broken fire alarms and add forms for inspection and testing and completion of work so you can know who has done what .
I have enjoy this programme as I have met like minded people and made lasting relationship with fellow co-worker and develop my skill and knowledge even further
it was well organized as soon as I step foot in white city, the team took me under there wing and assisted me with any need and did 8 week rotation between the different group like first fix, electrical ,mechanical , internals ,landscape, externals and ground works .
if I need any help I can go to him he will get someone to explain to me and I have buddie as well who I can go to for assistance who is pervious apprentice been through what I am going through .
i can contact tom my trainer any time during the work day he would set up a teams meeting walk me through everything and explain it again till I get it and also goes through the task very well explaining everything .
what I have learned so far from the training provide are laws , legislation and policy that need to be followed and goes into detail of why each rule is there and it help me do my job correctly and do the task right the first time
there have been social activities like going roller skating and all the apprentice get together and do q&a with rob .

the reason I will get my friends to join Berkeley group is they work to high standard of work and have a good level of quality of work and they help you develop your skill and interest in construction and always ready to help you when you are stuck and it very professional environment
the tips i would give you are the following be ready to get your hand dirty and muck in with the team , anything you don't know don't be afraid to ask , try and learn rules ,legislation and policy to help you work to high standard and always be punctuational and ready to learn as every day you will learn something different
