As an engineer technician I can be many different tasks digital or physical that i could be trusted to complete by myself or with other team members. Design, testing, maintaining. manufacturing of electrical and electronic products
I have learnt very many practical workplace skills as well as engineering techniques, tools and knowledge. I have learnt theory as well as practical skills
During the programme you rotate through many different departments on site which shows many different interesting roles and aspects of the company. You can try many different tasks, equipment and teams.
The programme is well structured with many different placements, reviews and opportunities.
I have received huge amounts of support from my employer not just with work but with wellbeing issues
The training provider gave good support for working towards qualifications however were not always as helpful as they could be
The theory obtained through my qualification definitely helps with my practical work
I play football and basketball with people from work, they also offer a golf society and many other extra curriculars
Yes
If it is the career path someone is interested BAE is a very good provider of training and support to get into and progress in that career
Make sure it is definitely the career or option for you as it is a several year programme which is worth it in the end
