My role is a Store Apprentice/Assistant. One a day to day basis I'm always working and interacting with customers whether that be on a till or on the shop floor. Also depending on what kind of shift I am working I could be working deliveries in the morning or helping to close the store in the evening.
Absolutely, it has helped me to develop my team working skills and overall confidence levels.
My programme is very enjoyable as no two days are ever the same. The staff are very welcoming and right away from day one make you feel like part of the team.
I feel very valued at Aldi. As I have grown into my role in the store I have been given certain responsibilities which has made me feel particularly valued by the company.
It is all layed out in front of you and with the help of my tutor [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] I have been able to work through it with ease.
I receive support with my tutor on a monthly basis who comes into the store to have a sit down conversation with me helping me work through my files.
I receive a lot of support from my employer in store on a daily basis, whether I'm struggling with a task or just as a motivational boost help is always available.
I am more than happy with my salary. I am able to pay my board comfortably to live at home and enjoy my money.
There are plenty of opportunities Aldi can support you with, particularly financial discounts for gym memberships.
Yes
Aldi is a fantastic company to work for with a great work ethic that you don't see with a lot of companies. The staff are a joy to work with, the pay is better than I could've imagined I would be earning having just left college the previous year and there are a lot of opportunities to progress and cement a career.
Be confident and be prepared to work hard.
