  • PLC coding and software analysis has been taught to help develop the job role to solve problems on the shop floor

  • The programme has offered a great experience into the world of engineering especially in the automotive industry.

  • The programme has been good throughout, however occasionally communication between managers has required improvement

  • BMW offer as much support as required, the help and assistance is comprehensive at all times

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider has been hit and miss, the educational provider is contracted out to an external vendor and isn't associated with BMW.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification, a degree in electronic engineering has been helpful in the role and the existing knowledge has been improved over the time since starting the degree

  • Social evenings have been arranged in the past to celebrate events, as well as BMW related celebrations

  • Its a great working environment, the role is interesting and the people you work with are professional and good to talk to.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group?
  • Know the business and its history. Understand what BMW manufacture and the cars and motorcycles they make. As well as having a genuine interest within engineering.
