As an apprentice technician nearing the end of my apprenticeship i have a larger responsibility now on finding problems and fitting components and helping out here and there where can depending on workloads or fellow technicians, as a company John Grose ford are very supportive in day in day out and also skillet now they have more engaging tutors and skills coachs.
I completed a level 2 course in college and my level 3 standard at ford has developed and given me more skills.
I enjoy the mechanical engineering of products and also finding problems and how to fix them.
Skillet have gotten better with structuring and they have got better resources when it comes to end point assessment and John Grose give me structure to my day knowing i will have work to complete
John Grose Ford Lowestoft have a great team higher up and also fellow techs in the workshop always showing support.
It has gotten better since getting a new skills coach towards the end of which i can ask better questions and they give me the support i need and at HFA when coming to in person visits the tutors are supportive.
I feel it all goes hand in hand both sides play a vital role in the mechanic i want to be.
Team goes out every now and again due to keeping a good work enviroment/
Yes
Overall network and structure there are so many dealerships to choose from and i believe they are inviting and give people the opportunity to embrace technology and mechanical engineering being a technician.
Try come into it with some past knowledge or passion for the subject/overview of engineering.
