  • In my current placement of Product Audit, im part of the team who tests engine produced down the assembly line, this includes stripping engines and running engines to simulate a real life car performance.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learned vast amounts about engines 3/4 cylinders and bigger V8/V12 engines, their components and how they function on a technical level. I have also learnt how engines are run on test beds to simulate real life driving, and the requirements for these test beds, including maintenance requirements and the technical measurements taken.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy learning about the business and how the whole production network functions to produce the vast amount of vehicles that BMW produces annually.

  • My training provide offers as much support as possible, they are always open to help whenever I need it.

  • It offers me a wide range of information that is used everyday, such as mathematics, quality methods, mechanics and many others technical subjects

  • There are many activities available, such as football, and other company sponsored walks etc.
