In my my day to day role I help out with the reactive and proactive maintenance surrounding the sites Electrical and Controls Equipment. I also undertake in projects that are Automation and controls in nature and help with the commissioning of new equipment.
Before starting this apprenticeship I knew very little about controls, automation and the environment in which they are situated. However through proper mentorship with dedicated colleagues I have vastly widened my knowledge of controls and automation systems.
The training provider is very committed in helping their students with any problems they may be having regarding on site or on campus.

Yes
I feel that the combination of support from the training provider and the knowledge passed on to me from my on site mentors has proved my time on this apprenticeship to be beneficial
I would say that you should convey your interest in engineering in any way possible wether it has been fixing a bike or helping your dad build a shed even though it may seem like a small thing you may have still completed the work with a great deal of interest and shown a good level of craftsmanship. But you should also convey your desire to learn more about the type of engineering you would want to go into.
