I am a crew trainer at McDonalds, this includes supervising and leading areas and heavily supporting the management as well as undertaking a heavy role in the training development of the crew in our store, always keeping up to date with new procedures. I have to complete SOC's and E-learnings on crew on a daily basis and support all wherever I can.
Yes. I have definitely learned new skills and developed my existing ones. I have gained so much confidence and self belief during my learning. The apprenticeship has given me such a new outlook on my day to day role and interactions with coworkers and customers. I have gained so much knowledge about operations and management responsibilities.
I really strongly enjoy my programme. I think the course is made up of equal parts and is highly informative and educational. The content is relevant and is definitely beneficial to a hospitality supervisor. My course is ever expanding my knowledge and helping me develop a new outlook on my job, coworkers and customers.
I 100% think that the content of the programme is well organised/ structured. With a gradual progression, it works incredibly to ensure that knowledge you require at the beginning of the programme is relevant in later units and everything coming together nicely.
I receive the appropriate support from my employer. I always get the time I need.
I always receive the appropriate support from my mentor when learning and working towards my qualifications, all questions are answered and resources given.
I would definitely say that my day to day performance in my role has improves since starting my qualification. I have noticed a large difference in my confidence and abilities and knowledge.
We do have a sports team- football, running fundraisers for RMHC.

McDonalds gives flexible working hours to its staff, great day and working conditions. amazing opportunities in the job for promotion and education and you really make lifelong friends.
I would say if you need extenuating circumstances met, be it availability, shift patterns, managers will help and don't be afraid to ask.
