Checking people in. Security. Cleaning the hotel. Fixing any issues a guest may have.
I've always worked in customer service but never on such an intimate 1 on 1 scale. I'm getting to know how people think and can often resolve a situation just as quickly as it arrives.
Very much. I have a brilliant coach who is always available, should I have any questions.
Very. The way the website is set out, was a little daunting at first but makes perfect sense. Easy to navigate.
My immediate manager (aka assistant hotel manager) is always available with assistance. The hotel manager is harder to get hold of as she works at 3 different sites at different times of the day.
100%. She's brilliant. She gives me clear instructions as to which ones she's thinks I should be doing next and sets me concise deadlines.
Again. 100%. There's so much information that I have been given to help in upcoming situations but also, she coaxes out of me, information that I already know and how it can be utilised.
Not that I've noticed. As soon as I have some spare time, I will definitely look into it.

An army is only as strong as the trust you have for the man next to you. With clear goals, all team members can row in the same direction.
Get to know the habits of your regular guests and staff. The ability to fit in with a team, will help you so much in the future.
