  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Immunisation Administrator - Running the admin side of the schools vaccination programme. Manning the telephone line, ordering supplies, booking appointments, liasing with schools.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes. I've improved my communication skills, teamworking skills and IT skills. I've become proficient on new systems too.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying it very much. I find it both interesting and valuable and am learning lots of new information which I can take forward into my role.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My tutor is extremely well organised and structures the programme really well. He keeps everyone on track and you know what you are meant to be doing at all times.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Could not be any better; my employer supports me 100% and provides all of the time and resources I require to complete the apprenticeship.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Again, this could not be any better. I know that I can contact my tutor at any time and he always responds very quickly. He is an excellent tutor.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Quite well but I have only been on the program for a few months and this will get better as I progress through the apprenticeship.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not that I am aware of

  • 9a. Would you recommend NHS to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They are extremely supportive of their staff and put employee wellbeing at the forefront. There is a very caring, compassionate culture which runs throughout the trust. The training system is excellent and there are regular seminars we can attend.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NHS?
  • Don't be put off applying for a temporary role or fixed term contract as there are lots of opportunities available once you are working within the trust.
