I am doing 6 5 month placements in different engineering areas. I am given tasks and learning experiences related to the role. I also attend college every Thursday so need to complete assignments and exams. There is a level 4 engineering qualification we are completing alongside and need to complete 4 hours a week on this.
Yes both
For the most part it's a really excellent experience.
Placements could be better organised and communication can be poor. The college's organisation with the modules has a lot of room for improvement.
Have received loads of support for things both in and outside of work.
Lots of support both in work and in college.
The learning experience with the college could be better. We miss a lot of content from the disorganisation.
Yes there are lots of opportunities.
Yes
Excellent support, positive promotion around diversity, good salary, loads of development and career opportunities.
If you don't get on first time, try again.
