our role as an apprentice was to go on most of the departments at Aldi in a 13 month period and see how that department ran and learn everything that we could about it and get trained on the appropriate equipment as well
I have learnt lots of new skills as I have been trained on lots of different types of MHE such as a bulk mover, forklift, reach truck, picker truck which is good because it makes me a versatile member of staff as well.
I enjoyed the programme because I got the opportunity to meet new people and learn about things that I wouldn't have if I wasn't an apprentice.
It was organised well because we had somebody that would come in every 2 months and check on our progress and help us to continue with the theory and coursework side of my apprenticeship and get us ready for our end point assessment.
We received lots of support from Aldi as we had deadlines to complete and coursework to do as well and we were given dedicated times where we could take time away from whatever department we were on to go and complete our tasks and we were very well supported.
We received everything that we needed off them and if there was an issue we had we could message them and they would support us in any way in order to help us out.
Better because had I not been on the apprenticeship I would not have got training on the certain equipment I need to fulfill my role now and it was beneficial to me
football,
Yes
because it has supported me through my apprenticeship and any other problems I have had
You would learn a lot and get an all round experience as you go from department to department and there is lots of variety as an apprentice as well
