In my day to day role I use AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroStation to produce drawings and models in 2D and 3D. Communicate with engineers, managers, and stakeholders through meetings.
I've developed my AutoCAD 2D skills since working here to an advanced level. The new skills I have learnt are MicroStation and AutoCAD civil 3D with the help of my colleagues and manager I am proficient and confident in both softwares.
I honestly love my job to the extent I look forward to a Monday, this job doesn't feel like work to me I enjoy it that much, I have definitely found my calling working at Murphy's and I can only thank the company and people I work with.
My programme is very organised from my company, my manager goes above and beyond with making sure I am doing well in my job and college work, he's always there if I need help or if I have any problems.
The support I receive from my employer is amazing I couldn't ask for a better manager/company to work for, anytime I need support all I need to do is ask and I've got it straight away.
The support I've received towards my end point assessment has been great from Andy Hamer he's helped me prepare for the EPA properly with weekly sessions and I feel prepared for the assessment now. My tutor was always there to support me to.
The qualification I am on gives me a overview of the built environment and does help me in my role.
Yes we frequently have a walk and talk event to get people out the office and socialise, I have personally been to a networking event with all the apprentices at Murphy's and this was excellent for networking/building your brand. I attended a speakers for school event through work.
Yes
I would 100% recommend Murphy's to a friend, it's an amazing place to work it's a family owned business and they treat you like one of their own, you're not just a number to them you actually matter. The people make you so welcome.
I would research the companies history about where Murphy's started it is really interesting finding out how the company has got to where it is, I would research current project we work on to get an understanding of what we do and just be yourself in the interview.
