I am a retail Store Manager responsible for overseeing the day to day operations in the store and ensuring the store remains legal and health and safety compliant.
I have developed on how to manage my time a lot better and I also have learnt new skills when dealing with customer service issues in our kitchen and bathroom department
I have really enjoyed the program, it has taught me a lot about myself and how I work
Very well organised, I can see exactly where I am and if anything is overdue.
I have changed employer during my apprenticeship, my first employer Frasers Group were not very supportive and did not give me any time to complete my work, where as Wickes has given me time to fully complete it.
I have received a lot of support, my tutor has been excellent with me with all the changes that has happened.
I believe it will hugely help me as it has taught me new skills as well as embedding old ones and improving them.
no extra curricular activities
No
I believe Wickes is a good company to work for, however it is very process driven so if you are not used to this it is difficult to get your head around, there doesn't tend to be too much support with this.
Really ask lots of questions at interview stage, speak to as many people who work there to get a proper understanding of what is expected
