  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My duties consist of: cleaning up, emptying bins, filling out rampbooks, taking out tyres. Then after I have completed these tasks I do jobs with supervision of my mentor, I do jobs such as servicing, engine covers and timing, brakes, fitting new parts. I have now started to do bits of diag.I

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot more about automotive vehicles and am able to apply this knowledge to my workplace as I do jobs and take apart different components and come along different faults. I have also learnt how to carry out specific jobs such wheel alignment, suspension removal and installation, brake removal and installation.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy it as it informs me more about my jobs and duties and improves my work standard by the more knowledge I gain whilst being on the programme.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The only thing that I don't think benefits me from the programme is VCT sessions 2 weeks in a row before a week of the same stuff at collage. I'd rather do 1 week of VCT, then a task to have completed for collage.

  • We recieve a moderate amount of support from employer as we don't see him regularly.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Trainer provider supports me by making sure I am doing whag j need to do in the right time frame and giving me the information and tools I need in order to prepare myself for my exams

  • It gives me information and skills that I need in order to apply it to my jobs and do more complicated tasks
