I am a cross functional apprentice which allows me to rotate between different team. This allows me to gain invaluable experience from various teams that may not have been possible by staying with one team. It also allows me to choose what department I would like to speacialise in, you are given oppurtunities and resources for you to achieve your dream, you are not restricted to one career pathway!
As a college leaver, I was not familar with working in professional enviroments. However, being at Cisco has allowed to pick and develop many skills. Here is a list of just a few and how I devloped them. Communication/ Public speaking - I have presented to various teams and audiences so far at Cisco, having the oppurtunity to present and speak to various people has allowed me to build my confidence in my speaking. Team working - I have worked with numerous people on projects that require active communication and team work. IT skills - I have picked and am still learning basic IT skills, alongside this I am building my IT skills to help me build my CV in order to work towards my career goals.
I absolutely love my role at Cisco! From the dynamic projects to the incredible team collaboration, every day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth.
