  • My day to day medication ,pws finances.health and safty .doing breakfast taking pws on appointments .up dating care plans .Best interest meetings .team reviews meds reviews. Assisting acting senior to complete there work .risk assessments give personal care.cooking .helping manager.doing rotas key worker meetings.team meetings

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes to hold team meeting .giving out significant discussions. Dst meeting best interest meeting .risk assessments. Financial assessments requesting monies from local authority. Up dating plans learning my way around a computer. Meeting with local authorities regarding pws .speaking with their families

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I dint like it when I started doing it as my assessor at the time was concentrating on doing my english .which didn't engage me I wanted to do my course work .I got down with my self and just didn't do it.after a few weeks I got a new assessor who understood the way I worked and have come on so well with the support of my tutor I'm 68% way through my level 4 and have no passed my English by doing course work and English along side

  • Very good I understand it and can find my way around it really well

  • Not a great deal occasionally I might ask her a question she will tell me where to find it .I have learnt something from her

  • As much as I need if I'm stuck on thing I can message her and she points me in the right direction

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • A lot more it's given me confidence and puts the knowledge that I had to good use and I like to learn and all ways try to do better

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not really a few staff members get to gether sometimes socially. Or if we have a wedding we try and support them

  • 9a. Would you recommend VOYAGE care to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I have before recommended 2 friends to work at voyage and didn't use repair a friend as I was told that the money came out of the services budget so I didn't bother


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to VOYAGE care?
  • You need to be a caring person to work hear the money is not the best paid but you have opportunities to move up the ladder and your money will go up a little.its just about how you can change a residents day with a bit of kindness and help them live as independently as they can .and improve their skills .there nothing better than helping someone reach their goals
