  • As a metal fabricator my day-to-day involves lots of hands on work including the use of amazing tools and equipment such as guillotines that I wouldn't really get the chance to do if I was anywhere else.

  • I have learnt many new skills that I can apply inside and outside of work. Learning to use tools and different techniques greatly helps me complete my work. My existing skills such as welding have drastically improved too as there is a lot of knowledge I didn't know

  • I really enjoy my programme as its more hands on compared to theory work which I learn better doing

  • The structure is well put together and in easily manageable sections that makes learning the different skills easier

  • I definitely feel I have improved my skills as a whole and my qualification will help me learn more skills so that i can perform to the best of my ability

  • I have applied to be a runner for the field gun however that has not happened yet

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is by far the best apprenticeship scheme out there for people looking to develop and work in engineering and the support and skillsets you gain after is immense

  • Do all your work on time and do your best
