Speciality Manager overseeing the Operational Management of the Paediatric Department. Liaising with patients and clinicians to solve queries and managing a team of medical secretaries.
i have learnt few skills since i started the apprenticeship like feedback methods or different leadership styles, and i have developed existing skills like improving my self-awareness and emotional intelligence or my communications skills.
I did enjoy the programme in general. The workshops were informative and interactives. My tutor has been a great support throughout the process.
I think the programme itself could be structure a bit different, with timeframes for each sub-category. But my tutor has done a great job in arranging the tasks for me.
I work for the NHS and it has been a very challenging 2 years with the current situation and the high number of vacancies on the team. I have had time set to invest in my programme but not as much as i wished.
The training provider gives enough information and my tutor's support has been great.
I gained confident and learnt new skills that i am now able to put in place in my current role.
There are some professional networking events but i am not usually involved in. I do have a group of friends in the trust that i meet for coffee and lunch. I do also play sports with other members of the trust.
