  • As an audit assistant, I am tasked to prepare leads and workpapers on the audit of various clients, aiding seniors in audits and checking for material amounts/variances in clients' financial statements.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learned a variety of new skills within audit, checking for variance in testing as well as fraud within accounts. I have developed my organisational and communication skills within my work, collaborating as a team and working towards end goals.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I would say I enjoy this quite a lot, it is difficult at times managing both work and study (I have to usually study after hours/on weekends to keep up) but overall, it is a very fulfilling and informative job.

  • I would say it is relatively organised, my work schedule is very organised but studies are down to me mores so.

  • I receive a good amount of support from my employer, if I want more support I can ask and receive more if needed.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a good amount, I feel that Kaplan could be better with going over exam technique for exams, but we are given a good amount of information.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • At each level, I see further progression in understanding my role and my work, as well as the learning for exams where I can successfully consolidate my revision.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are quite a few, I can choose to get involved with a variety of social activities however I would like more sports to be involved in.

  • Yes

  • Crowe UK has always been supportive of my aims, and has monitored me in a way that I don't feel restricted, or pressured to the point it sacrifices my other goals.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Crowe UK?
  • My advice would be to understand audit first and what you want from it, there's a variety of sectors you can specialise into and by understanding audit better beforehand, you can improve at a much better rate.
