  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am an apprenticeship co-ordinator, so my role involves managing the training providers, internal and external onboarding of apprentices, the learner journey, development conversation. Coaching and part of the coaching community to strengthen the business and personal goals.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • The apprenticeship has been one of the best choices, its allowed me to recognise my own strengths and improvement area's. Supported me through neurodiversity challenges and pushed me to stop cycles i have created for mysel

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme has been great from onboarding and the scheduling with my tutor, it has been led with great care for my own mental health which has been important. As most find it a struggle to manage a job and an apprenticeship.

  • Paragon has always been great about giving you clear communication with how the programme is organised and the structure of it. Where to interact and gain further information or contact someone for help.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • As the apprentice coordinator my employer is fully behind the apprenticeship programmes and the importance of capability and skills gaps for the future.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Paragon have been great i aiding my progress and giving me time to prioritise the parts of the apprenticeship and my job that need to be done. I have support from Cognacist who help with my ADHD with exercises and tips.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It not only supports my current role in having better stakeholder conversations but my future role development into a coach that can support the organisation to nurture a coaching community and culture.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • E.ON has many networks like the Careers, Digital, Women in Leadership, Diversity & Inclusion and events like Learning Week and Apprenticeship Week throughout the year that support development and keep employees engaged.

  • The best tips for me are Time management, a tailored CV to to role, passion and drive for the opportunity you want to take. That you are human and allowed to make mistakes and that your open to developing your self.
