I work on tickets of work that contribute to a the development and maintenance of a collection of applications.
I have learned how to write and test software and continued to improve these skills on a daily basis.
I have a lot of enjoyment out of the programme I am on. There are times when it can be stressful and full on due to the nature of full time employment and higher education simultaneously.
My programme has clear outlined goals and a great support network. The programme is very catered to us in the early years to help us establish our understanding of the structure and how to cope with the added stress.
There is a lot of help and understanding should I need to voice any concerns or potential struggles I may be having. Everyone is very welcoming and helpful when it comes to me.
There is support but its a bit different due to the independent nature of university, sometimes it feels like you are left on your own in cases but reaching out can help
Like with any role, some things taught at university translate more to my job than others, I will say I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to apply some of the learning in real life situations to help enhance understandings of concepts.
I do not do these things
Yes
It's more than just getting a degree, its an enhanced learning process that has clear bonuses when compared to a traditional degree programme. The experience alone is worth more than can be taught through a lecture.
Be honest, be different, and just be yourself
