On a daily basis, I complete rotas, take phone calls from social workers, staff, clients and other healthcare professionals. I deal with emails, monitor our online care planning system, visit clients, complete supervisions and appraisals with staff. Liase with local authorities, take on packages and speak to other healthcare professionals.
I have from my apprenticeship, most definitely. Although I have only been doing it for a short period of time, I feel I developed skills, this is logged in my journal. I have in particular looked more in the the care act and other health social care acts to develop.
I 100% love every part of my course, its helping me to progress in my career, I will have this behind me for the rest of my life and I'm learning a lot. I enjoy learning and talking a lot which is a great benefit as most of my course is speaking assessment's.
I would say its highly structured and organized. My tutor is great, very accommodating. There's several different people now who have offered me support within the company. The one file in which we use is great, very straight forward and highly informative.
I receive support from the training team and my manager if I requested it. My manager gets involved within the course and interacts on mine and my tutors meeting to review my progress. If I felt I needed added on extra support I would simply ask and be aware I would get the support I needed.
I receive a high level of support I would personally say. As I have previously said very accommodating, very informative and cater to my work balance and schedules.
I feel it will progress me in all aspects, managing staff and clients, rostering and the overall of my role. I have learnt a lot already. I can manage certain tasks or circumstances in a better way then I previously did.
There's lots of other training courses we can join, for example a walking scheme took place last week for mental health week, there is constant activities to get involved in. We have a group website which everyone within the company can access to look up what we can join in on.
