I work in a high-volume kitchen that does a pre-cooked/ part fresh menu. Take food deliveries in, train team players, and work with the head chef. run shifts, and maintain training and food quality. striving for above nsf and eho standards in our kitchen
I've learnt a lot about managing teams, the nutrition of food as we don't get that chance to see that with our menu. And now I'm currently learning about leadership and how I can be a better leader for my team
It gives me such a insight to how the business runs, i feel I'm connecting more with my piers and learning what they do on a day to day bases. I feel more confident in myself knowing more about the business i work in
Really well, each module flows to the next. It targets a lot of topics that I've never learned about before. Also enjoy taking what I've learnt and using it in my job.
I get weekly reviews with my general manager, and they check in on me with mental health but also how i am doing don't the course, if I'm struggling or want more information.
I've received all the help I've ever needed, I get monthly 1 to 1s, and I can message them whenever I need to. They have been there throughout everything so far, and have been such a great teacher for me.
I feel I have learnt so much during this programme, that I have a greater understanding of how a business works and more so the other sides of working in a kitchen, focusing on fiance and stocks. Its giving me a great head start for becoming a head chef

The work-life balance is very good compared to other jobs I've had in cheffing. The pay is very generous, they have welcomed in bonuses for hourly pay. How they treated us through covid was amazing. We get well looked after. The only company I've worked for that cares.
Go for it! the amount of training and courses that are available from this company is amazing. You can progress in the kitchen and out front but even in the hotels. They have sites everywhere. It's a great place to have a career.
