I am involved in the overhaul, repair and maintenance of gas turbine engines.
I have learnt several new skills such as electronic testing, component repair, electrical harness installation and removal, harness repair, complying with EHS policies and lean manufacturing.
I find my role very interesting and the work variety keep sit interesting.
There is a good structure in place with a close link between college and the workplace
There is a designated team that deals with early careers and training, they have shown that they can and will support me with any issues that may arise
The college staff have been extremely supportive and with them working closely with my employer there is always an incentive to succeed.
The qualification is essential to my role
The company do several charity events and STEM events that we can volunteer to attend
