Setting up and delivering research studies. Line managing a team of 6 nurses
Through the course, I have developed my self awareness and have learnt different methods and tools. I also developed and improved my presentation skills.
I did enjoy learning the self awareness module
It wasn't well structured at the beginning and I was left confused as to what I needed to do, where I considered leaving the course. This improved since I got another tutor and I felt more positive and clear on what I needed to achieve
I received a good amount of support from my line manager
I received good support from my training provider and he made it very clear on what I needed to complete for the EPA
It has made me more aware for certain topics such as time management, delegation, being aware of my leadership styles. I can also use what I have learnt to coach and mentor others.
Networking events and some social activities
Yes
I enjoy my line of work, I have a work life balance and feel supported from my managers.
Really consider the role you are applying for, go for an informal visit and get to know the department before applying .
