  • In my role as a Software Engineer I analyze data, develop and test code, and work with project stakeholders to form IT solutions.

  • I had little technical experience prior to starting this apprenticeship. I have developed my technical skills significantly, which involve understanding SQL, Unix, etc. I have also improved my teamwork and presentation skills by attending courses that Capgemini offers.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoy my apprenticeship programme. Capgemini looks after their employees well, ensuring we have a healthy work-life balance. My colleagues are friendly and collaborative. I am very happy with my decision to choose this programme over full-time university.

  • The programme is structured well. I understand when to attend university and deadlines for module submissions. I can balance my university and project work efficiently due to study leave in addition to annual leave.

  • I receive considerable support from my employer, ensuring there's always someone available to address any questions or concerns I may have.

  • I am well-supported by my training provider; they offer tutors and a Learning Development Centre to assist me with any work I require help with.

  • At university, I studied various subjects that have been beneficial in my role, enhancing my confidence in project work, such as working with SQL.

  • Regular social gatherings are organized for apprentices and graduates to network. Additionally, GameDay events are held where teams compete for prizes, offering both fun and insight.

  • Yes

  • Capgemini and really supportive and inclusive. I feel that I have many opportunities to grow within the business and expand my knowledge/skills.

  • Reach out for help if you need it- Capgemini are really supportive. Achieve certifications and training to expand your knowledge and skills- Capgemini have loads of useful resources.
