Safeguarding the children ages 3-4, picking up the children and caring for them throughout the day giving them breakfast, lunch, snack and tea. Completing observations on the children to monitor their growth and get them ready for school.
How to communicate with non verbal/verbal children in different ways, for example learning makaton (sign language) learning how to safeguard the children
I love the staff, the children, the parent partnership that we have and how well and supported you can feel working with them.
It is well organised with having deadlines and help to complete work, having online meetings as well as face to face.
I receive a lot of support from my employer as well as the other staff around me. It is a safe space
I have full support from my tutor as If I need help I can email or text her at anytime. Having the face to face visits will also help me.
I feel I am learning more and more everyday as I learn throughout my journey, I am learning from other staff as well as from my tutor
We have a sports day activity where we will get a sports coach in every Friday to come and do some sports with the children, we also have a dance coach that will come in and do some dancing with the children. We have a member from zoo lab that comes in and sees the children and shows them all new animals they can learn about and touch for example, snails, frogs, gerbils, rabbits, centipedes and more
