I work as a trainee finance professional in a cost accounting team within Capgemini. Day to day I work with the accountants to prepare reports and to support with forecasting.
I've learnt a great amount of knowledge of finance through my course and my experience in my role. I've also learnt a great amount of soft skills from communicating to my internal stakeholders within my team and the business.
I enjoy my role and believe that people looking for a career in finance should look to join Capgemini as an apprentice.
It is really well structure and Kaplan are a great tuition provider. Managers also support me really well with my studies.
Kaplan are a great tuition provider. Managers also support me really well with my studies.
Kaplan are a great tuition provider and they have their own support email which I use frequently to answer questions. They get back to me quickly too which helps when I have an exam coming up soon.
It really helps me since the knowledge relates really closely to my day role.
There's a football team which I go to with Early and Emerging talent, there's another with finance too. There's also a monthly early and emerging talent day which is usually good. I feel like there could be a bit more things on though.

Capgemini is a great place to work which fosters a great work experience and is really enjoyable to work at. The company is really supportive of you which makes work and studying far less stressful. If you don't feel this way then there's always someone here to make that change.
Make sure you know everything about the company. I can't stress this enough. I've got several friends who I've recommended to Capgemini and the ones who succeeded are the ones who revised the company like they had an exam on it! Learn about the core values, the main contracts, the roles available and why you want to work for the company. You could also learn about the numerous awards that the company has been given.
