  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work in Commercial for NatWest, in a team called Public Web. My role is to make sure all the business websites across many brands are kept up to date with all governance processes, to make sure we are complying with rules and regulations. My apprenticeship is Business Administration.

  • New skills learnt and developed: - Communication - Taking responsibility for projects - Professionalism - Work ethic

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my program, this apprenticeship allows me to learn and develop lots of new skills, whilst gaining the work experience of working in a huge organization like NatWest.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My program is very organized, i work on a platform called BUD, on BUD, i have access to all of my tasks for the following months, with when they should be submitted by. I think this is brilliant because i can plan my days and see which tasks need to be completed first.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive lots of support from my employer, we agreed when i joined that i would take Monday's to complete my apprenticeship, this has helped me as i know that i will not get bothered with work related issues on a Monday and i can do apprenticeship work.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive lots of support from Babington, i have a coach that i have regular meetings with and can reach out to at any point if i have a question. I have a meeting with my coach and my line manager each 3 months to discuss progress and where i could improve.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I believe that Business Admin helps me in my role, as it teaches me good communication styles and helps me understand and reflect on past experiences and how i can improve them in the future.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have a work sports day that i am looking to attend and i will keep a look out on the intranet page to see anymore opportunities.

  • Yes

  • It is an enjoyable place to work and you have the chance to have many more opportunities in the future.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest?
  • Make sure you research the role you are applying for, many people make the mistake of thinking NatWest is only banking, this is quite the opposite, make sure you enjoy your role and are making the most of the opportunities provided.
