On a day to do basis we do the standard answering email and review our agenda for the day . Typically I attend many team meeting where we plan our next steps and see where we want to take the business.
Yes ! I have developed my excel skills , typing skills and numerical skills greatly. Do not worry if you do not have much experience in these sections as I wasn't good at them before I started.
Great level of support. But I will say that this role is what you make it. It is up to you to create your connections and network rather than hope that people will stay in contact with you.
There is a better structure than most apprenticeships as every six months we rotate around to another area of the business however the team that you may be placed in tend to have differences in how they treat apprentices with some teams having excellent management of apprentices and other teams not having any set tasks for you.
This employer has been great. They have paid for my medical costs & have taken into account any additional support I need.
Our tutor is very friendly and kind when it comes to helping us with our work and always helps clarify tasks for us if needed. However our tutors for the actual accountancy exams can vary.
I am heavily interested in finance so studying accountancy works great for me. We also have additional junior management consultant pieces of work which are wonderful at ensuring that we grow a greater understanding of business in general. However there are some management consultancy roles where finance knowledge is not heavily required .
There are loads of different initiatives at our firm that help you can join such as Neurodiverse communities, SHINE (LGBT + community).
