I currently manage a team of 11 staff members in the reciepting, pre-analytical analysis and dispatching of over 2500 requests of pathology samples including Chemistry / Haematology / Microbiology and Histology on a daily basis. I am response for all areas of th running of the running of the department.
I have learnt lots of new skills as part of this course such as management and leadership styles, emotional intelligence, learning styles etc..
The program is very interesting, it is very useful for me to help me develop as a leader and within my career. I find the workshops are not the most exciting but always presented well and very informative.
The programme is extremely well structured and Nadya my tutor from paragon skills has been amazing. The feedback from my assignments is always very constructive and always positive.
With my department being a very busy fast paced pathology department in a trauma centre I am always very busy however try to spare 1 hour per day to focus on my studies when i don't have a workshop to attend.
Nadya the tutor from paragon skills has been extremly supportive and I can reach out to her whenever I have any questions. The regular review meetings are always very positive and she has always been very positive.
The qualification gives me greater knowledge and skills to perform better in my role and helps others recognise my experience and expertise.
