  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My daily tasks include co-ordinating with our overseas offices to ensure they have all information necessary, providing expatriate tax advice to a number of different clients and ensuring that payroll is correctly implemented. I often go to a number of meetings during the day, usually 2-3 internal catch up meetings and about 3 conference calls per week to my client. I manage a lot of projects such as authorisiation for work, collecting compensation data for my clients and distributing this to other teams and overseas offices as well as working with the client to ensure tax returns are prepared for the correct people.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by PwC?
  • 10/10

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I think my programme is very well structured as initially we had an induction where we learnt all basic skills necessary for the job and from then onwards, we have had a structured study course for going to college and completing exams. It is extremely helpful at PwC that you are assigned a people manager who will help you progress in your career and show you the correct pathway of what you need to do to improve. The organisation is very well structured in the fact that senior members of the team delegate work out and you may always go to the resourcing manager if you have an spare capacity to take on additional work.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I think Kaplan has been very helpful and allow you to ask questions outside of the study time you have at college. They also provide a number of website forums where you can discuss exam questions and tips with your peers to help you all do your best.

They are very understanding if you wish to take additional leave for your exams and are always there to help if you have any questions. The HR team ar every helpful if you have any questions regarding the learning problem and always get back to you as soon as possible.
