  • I am a team member, this involves bringing food to tables and serving customers on the bar.

  • I have learned a lot about legislation that applies to me and the business I work for. I have developed the skills that I already have by being more aware of how they affect the business I work for.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the programme a lot, I feel as though I am understanding a lot more about the business aspect as well as the legal aspect in what I do. It is easy to keep on top of the work provided and isn’t overwhelming.

  • It is very well organised, it doesn’t not interfere with my day to day life and I receive a lot of necessary information in a short period.

  • As my employer is quite busy in the business I feel as though there isn’t an opportunity to talk about my apprenticeship

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive an adequate amount of support from my training provider as they keep me upto date with my learning and make it easy to contact them with any queries I may be having.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel as though I am learning a lot about what it takes to be a part of a business and different roles that each individual plays.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We do have social activities that we plan for the charity that our pub supports. We host different events for MacMillan such as coffee mornings and raffles.

  • Yes

  • It is a good business to be apart of. We have regular meetings to discuss what ways we can improve and they allow us to connect with each other as a team.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Greene King?
  • Greene king is a great business to join, my advice is if you would like to progress and further your knowledge, an apprenticeship is the best way to go about it.
