My role at ASOS, is entry level, I am learning the entire design process from start to finish, I design and develop items in various different departments within the menswear part of the company, I also assist the team with different things like preparing for meetings and helping develop a strategy for a season.
Yes, I have learnt the design process from start to finish alongside technical skills like how to use ADOBE softwares such as illustrator and Photoshop.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme, every day I am doing something I enjoy very much, the people are so great and welcoming, and the vibe in the office is great!
The structure of the actually programme run by the FRA was a bit slow and unorganised at the start, yet things began to clear up as time went on.
I receive a stupendous amount of support from my employer, the benefits are endless and they treated me like part of the team and took me under their wing from day 1.
Honestly, not much. Response times are very stretched sometimes. However, I am not one to struggle with most activities however, if I have a question, I usually figure it out myself before I get a response.
Not as much as I expected, So far at ASOS, I have learnt more in 1 week then I have learnt in 2 months with the FRA, this may be due to the fact that I learn better by actually doing and that the lectures so far have been very standard. But it does not benefit me as much as I expected in my Actual job role.
Yes. I partake in most of the social events held by the Menswear team each week and these are very enjoyable. i also attend research trips to help me gain more knowledge regarding things like inspiration. I have also joined a team outside of my Role within the company where I will be representing the company on social media and attending networking events on behalf of the company and partaking in campaigns.
Yes
I have worked at many places in my life, this is by far the best. the office is amazing, the people are even better and the benefits that comes with it are bar none the best I've seen. The role itself I am in is also very enjoyable and an easy way to express yourself.
Be yourself! I applied for this role as a one of and believe that due to me being myself during the interview process I was able to stand out from the rest!
