It’s difficult to say what the average day looks like as it varies so much. One day a week is always spent working solely on my apprenticeship, so I switch off from teams and outlook and focus on my assignments. My other 4 days vary hugely, some days I spend a lot of time travelling to customer meetings and other days I spend working from home in zoom meetings planning/organising for future meetings, events and activities and general account management duties.
I have definitely learnt new skills as well as developing existing skills. Before starting, I didn't know how to use excel, and now this is something I use frequently and confidently. My communication skills with customers have improved, and I'm generally a much more confident person because of the experiences my apprenticeship has exposed me to.
I thoroughly enjoy the programme, the theoretical study works well alongside practical experience.
I would say the programme is very well organised, as soon as I started the apprenticeship I had visibility of the whole programme up until the EPA.
The receive I support from my employer is great, not only from my line manager but the whole business is really supportive of apprentices.
My skills coach during my apprenticeship offers lots of support. We have monthly catch ups but in addition to that I am able to contact her whenever I may need to.
I think the theory side of the qualification support the practical working of my job really well.
There is a football team that has just been introduced.
Yes
The support I feel from my manager and the rest of the team is a big reason in why I would recommend Premier Foods. They have been understanding of me coming into the position with no prior experience and have slowly helped to develop my skills and confidence, and have added additional responsibilities when I feel confident to do so.
Be yourself! Premier Foods really champions bringing your authentic self to work, so don't feel the need to be someone you're not.
