I'm on a four year technical modern apprenticeship programme, studying toward an SVQ level 3 & a HND in engineering systems.
Many. I've learnt how to correctly wire mains based circuitry; operating principles and procedures within the Crewe Toll site; fundamental operating principles of airborne radars; environmental engineering testing procedures and equipment calibration/setup; integration duties to perform when setting up a new research/development radar project (ASBAR/BrightAdder).
Greatly. I'm being paid to learn more, further my understanding, develop my skills and add value to the company. With the placement programme I get access and insight into a vast portion of the Crewe Toll site's deparments and capabilities. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity.
I feel valued. I'm provided with excellent support through my placement supervisor, my assessor, my apprentice manager and the college lecturers. Information and help is present as and when needed, and this is would only be the case if myself and other apprentices were considered valuable to the company.
Very clearly and concisely. I know exactly where I stand with regard to my SVQ level 3 and my progress in undertaking a HND in engineering systems, and I understand my duties/responsibilites/expectations placed upon me.
All training materials are present and accessible through the web based moodle service. All lecturers all most knowlegeable & helpful.

As I'm a bit older than the average apprentice (26), I would love to have a larger salary. However, pay increases each year (dependant upon performance), and the final wage when qualified I consider excellent. However, the apprenticeship wages have not changed/increased for the past 7 years, so we arguably earn less than previous apprentices in relation to inflation/living expenses etc.
I do not understand the question. Opportunities for learning, jobs, related endeavours?
Yes
It's an excellent opportunity, the once in a lifetime kind. I'm humbled, am learning so much, and I really, really enjoy working here.
Be dilligent, polite & professional in your conduct. Take an active interest in the companies history and products. ASK QUESTIONS, SHOW INTEREST! Any prior engineering experience/knowledge you have make sure to share and use.
