I am a shift manager. I work with various different people with different walks of life. I take a leadership approach and ensure that everything is running smoothly to enhance the top customer satisfaction.
I have a learning plan set out from my mentor. I also do off the job hours where I learn new things whilst getting paid. I have a personal development plan to which I look at my strengths and weaknesses and look for opportunities to improve (SWOT analysis).
I am enjoying it a lot. It gives you further insight of hospitality and allows you to work with different people. The learning is interesting and gives you advance knowledge on how the hospitality industry works.
It is very organised. It is all dated so you know when certain things are due in. We have monthly HIG chats and PRs which are very reassuring that I have the support I need.
A lot. As mentioned above, I get monthly HIG chats and PRs and anytime I need help I get the support I need.
All the support I need. I know if I have any issues that I can email them and they will respond with the answers. I know that there is always someone to go to when I need help.
It has massively improved my confidence and motivation towards work. I went from someone who was very quite and didn't delegate tasks out to someone who is very confident and is looking at different leadership styles to improve.
