I’m a carer/senior carer I give personal care, write out care plans, fill in folders, fluid charts, serve food and drinks, put people to bed, give out medication in line with e-MAR.
my tutor is making my journey through the program very enjoyable. Any questions I have she is there to reassure me and guide me.
My program is very well structured I have communication whenever needed.
I received good support for my employer considering we have recently had a new manager.
I have so much support from my tutor whether it’s my self confidence or to do with the actual work she is always there for support when needed.
Through my training provide I feel I can go to my tutor with any problems I may face and she will guide me through them which makes me feel I do a better job.

It’s very hard work but in the right environment people could do well.
Be prepared to work hard as a team as that is what is needed in any care home.
