day-to-day it changes depending on what team you are in. For me- currently, it involves the rollover of files that are used to manage costs of projects. identification then Investigation of mismatches/discrepancies between systems. Reviews of different variations of financials of projects
Excel is something I've developed as you can use many different formulas, functions in excel to create files that can pull out data and pinpoint stuff for you minimising my manual effort. Problem solving also as some things happen that require some thought to fix which I have helped with
Very much, some things can improve but that i because I was the first in my programme and was a guinea pig for testing some of the ideas for the apprenticeships. Some have worked, some haven't but they are learning at the same time the best way to handle it.
Its alright, there's not a set plan for my position specifically unlike other ones eg what teams you join and when you join them, its more a do it for a year/6 months then move on type thing but they do take the proper process in sorting all of that ensuring I'm not affected by anything and that I'm and my new team are prepared
We have multiple functions and people that help you and function specific stuff also so i would say there is a lot there if you need it and the stuff you need should be in place already for you.
Plenty of materials to use, good tutors and classes are bunched together for the topics, not spread out over months
Doing the work I don't think it helps much but understanding it helps. Some stuff i learned from working but the training has gave me more understanding of it
Kind of, I am helping with getting more of them sorted within my function
Yes
It's class, our business is interesting and you can see it, who doesn't want to see a warship. More seriously though, i think the treatment of employees is good, they pay you well and there are multiple benefits. The people are nice and helpful plus we have sites across the world so you can technically travel worldwide for work if you wanted to
I always say the same thing, be yourself when trying to apply, don't pretend to be someone you're not as they would rather you know nothing and train you to your potential than think you know everything and turns out you need training. Its not a good look plus they want to build the workforce and invest
