Admin work, Receptionist, Safety of 50+ guests, money handling, checking in and out guests, greeting 100s of people everyday.
I have developed more management skills since starting my apprenticeship, and felt more comfortable in the workplace knowing what my rights and legislations are for the company.
I enjoy the knowledge and the work, but I find it frustrating having to balance it with my personal life - it can be difficult to keep the motivation up.
Very well organised and structured I think. The system ‘Aptem’ that we use for our course I feel works really well for me.
I received all the support they can give me, they’re super supportive with my Off The Job Hours - I’m really lucky to have a really close management team.
My training provider and coach are extremely helpful and supportive, they have monthly meet ups to go through work as a group, giving you that feeling that you’re not alone in this qualification, there are others to help you.
It helps a significant amount, I feel so much more comfortable and knowledgeable within my role, I am equip to handle difficult situations because of my qualification.
We do have networking events and career events that I attend. They allow me to meet others on the apprenticeship or the ones above mine.
Yes
Whitbread has been like a family to me, they’ve always showed their appreciation for the work that FOH do, and I’ve never experienced that before in previous employments.
Be open-minded, a job with Whitbread, I’ve learnt, teaches you so many things and all the people you meet makes it that little bit better. And also, have fun with it, it’s a very creative and expressive company.
