I work closely with clinical and operational leaders to ensure the effective implementation of the Diagnostics Recovery Programme. This includes supporting hospital teams in the development and implementation of recovery programmes to improve their performance against the DM01 (Diagnostic Wait Times and Activity) standard - to ensure that less than 1% of patients wait more than 6 weeks for their diagnostic test.
Enhanced Influencing skills, improved collaborative ability, Better collaboration, leveraging networks to achieve my goals, time and people management, more confident to speak up, and challenge upwards
I have been challenged and stretched outside of my comfort zone with the taught modules and the practice application in the workplace
The programme itself is well structured, however, access to the course materials in advance of the day's programme would have been useful, for those modules which did not provide them in advance. Clear structured guidance on assignment expectation would be helpful (instead of the "you can either do this or that, either is fine"
I was very well supported in the early stages, however, since November 2023, following a consultation exercise at work, and I had to move to a different team, the support has not been as robust. Different management styles, and level of commitment is vastly different
Good support, and the Module leaders in Year 2 have been exemplary
Improved problem solving skills, and better able to speak at meetings with confidence
There are some professional networking events, but these are not particularly geared towards apprentices specifically.
Yes
I've been happy with the level of content and challenged with the assignments
Be prepared not to have a social life for the duration of the programme
