Completing maintenance and fault finding on production machines within the factory. Shadowing fully trained engineers to learn from them and develop myself.
Learnt hand fitting skills, electrical skills, mechanical skills and fluid power skills. I've learnt how to use these skills within the factory to complete maintenance or fault finding on machinery.
I really enjoy the programme the content is interesting and applicable to work. No day is the same in the workplace working in all different areas completing different jobs every day.
Clearly structured with an end goal to each module. Once back at work it is clear what is expected of me and how to apply what I learn at the university.
I receive a lot of support from my employer with all aspects of work from personal issues to those within the workplace. My mentor is always on hand to lend support if I get stuck.
I cannot understate how much support the university provides. Whenever asked for support they always make the time for you.
I feel that the qualification leads greatly into the work I complete in the workplace and is directly applicable.
There are lots of activities to take part in from family days, football and volunteering within the community.
