My role in mechatronic maintenance has me maintaining and repairing various machines in walls Unilever to improve the performance and productivity of the factory.
Upon starting my apprenticeship with Unilever I have learned the fundamentals of what it means to be a good engineer such as mechanical and electrical problem solving techniques that I will take further into my career.
Being a mature Apprentice I hope estly feel like I've hit the lottery. After each and every unit I cleared with the University I was able to demonstrate that skill in company and complete jobs successfully that I was unable to attempt before hand
I'm grateful about how the structure of the course was aimed around being a mature apprentice with a family and that I was able to complete my units in blocks rather than being away from home for 6 months.
I receive plenty support from my mentor and apprentice Coordinator who conducts monthly reviews and helping me complete my apprenticeship as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Any issues I have with the work or assignments we have been given by the university is quickly addressed with extra study classes provided if needed.
I feel that I am able to use everything I have learned through my training provider over the year within my company at Unilever. I will continue to develop my skills further having the fundamentals to make me a better engineer in the future.
I am currently involved in a golf society at work
Yes
Honestly, I believe that Unilever is one of the best companies that I have ever worked for and my only regret is not discovering them sooner. They have given me the opportunity to help do my dream job.
