Daily tasks include clearing bank accounts, bank reconciliations, cash flow and bank balance. Weekly tasks include fx deals (forward and spot deals) and netting, including double entry book keeping. I am also involved in month end where I provide evidence of the months work as well as monthly cash flow and bank reconciliations.
I have developed countless soft skills and hard skills. Soft skills include communication, interpersonal and relationship skills. I have even managed to develop leadership skills within my team delegating work. Some important hard skills I have learnt include excel work and presentation skills as I have had valuable experience in these areas during work.
I have bonded well with the colleagues in my team which has helped me feel comfortable at work and enjoy my work. Additionally, I find my work and course interesting which has helped me engage in my development and enjoy my programme
My programme is well structured, there is a clear structure to my weeks and it helps me to manage my learning and work. However, you have to be very independent and set a lot of the programme up by yourself. Despite this there are multiple people willing to help both from work and the qualification provider.
Whenever you require support it is readily available. However they cannot read your mind so if you do require support it is important you reach out so they are aware if you are having any struggles.
I have meetings every 3 months with my manager and a talent coach from my training provider so I can ask any questions. I am also able to ask any urgent questions and receive a response that same week.
Throughout my experience the qualification I am undertaking is linking more and more to my job role. This helps me to perform more efficiently and also helps me gain a deeper undnerstanding.
