My role in Selex changes every three month and this is enjoyable just now it is to shadow and watch others doing there job once I know what I am doing I will have a go in order to full experience of that department.
I have learned lots of new skills such as hand skills and even skills working with lasers and other specialist equipment. I have also developed excising skills such as IT skills, Communication and many more skills.
I enjoy my program a lot as every day is a new day and the people are friendly and are willing to help, they will also make you fell better if you make a mistake and teach you how to rectify it and how to avoid it in the future.
I feel I am valued in Selex as I get all the jobs in a department I go into not just all the jobs that no one wants to do but the good and important jobs as well which makes me feel as an equal to the rest of the people in that department
the program is very organised and is enforced by a great and friendly manager which will steer you on the right path in this program and encourage you to keep unto date with your work.
I restive a lot of support from my training provider as they will tech you everything you would need to know in order to perform the job. You will also get continued help as you move through the program and all of your placements.

My salary is excellent for the job that I do and It does go u every year. It is well above minimum wage and it covers all my costs all though sometimes I feel like I need more money but that is more to do with my money management that my salary.
there are loads or opportunities outside of work at Selex that you can do, Selex is a company that would encourage you to lots of activates and charity work. They also help with Rampaging chariot that you could help with this is great fun and would help with your repetition in work.

It is a great program that will teach you and help you all the way through the program and I have enjoyed myself in this apprentice ship program, and I think other people interested in engineering or even business would enjoy it to.
I would say look up the company and see what they do this would bee good to know when you are applying and good to see if its the type of work that you are interested in.
