On a day to day basis my role involves the proactive and reactive maintenance of equipment. This involves routine maintenance on both mechanical and electrical systems, as well as setting up mechanical and electrical systems ensuring they are installed correctly, calibrated, and functioning as intended.
During my apprenticeship I have been able to develop my understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, pneumatics and hydraulics paired with the practical skills used to maintain them, additionally I have been able to further my understanding of engineering documentation such as electrical drawings and pneumatic diagrams.
I really enjoy my programme I strongly feel that I am learning important skills and gaining credible experience.
My apprenticeship is structed well. I am able to experience different engineering roles within my workplace that will help me identify my strengths, weaknesses and potential gaps in knowledge
I am content with the amount of support I receive from my employer. I am able to consult with my mentor or workplace coach if i have any concerns.
My training provider schedules regular reviews to check on my progress throughout my apprenticeship
Gives me an understanding on how to safely work within a industrial/manufacturing environment
