I'm in ESC and I help the team with admin work they can't do as they are taking calls and chats.
I have developed my confidence and my excel skills a lot, as well as working on different systems.
It's good, the skills coaches are kind and the college work isn't too difficult. I do wish the EPA was introduced to us much earlier so we had longer to prepare.
It is okay, in some places it seems rushed and sometimes it feels like things are taking too long, for example marking assignments sometimes took a while. Though when submitting EPA we were told to change the format of our behaviours matrixes the day before it was due.
I receive a good amount of support from skills coaches through LPRs I can talk to them about anything that worries me, and from line managers it's the same they were all supportive.
Directly we don't get anything, but I would want more mock knowledge tests if I could ask since one doesn't seem sufficient.
It had helped recognise what areas we may need to develop in and for me it was a great introduction into working life.
There isn't for the college side but in my placements we sometimes go out for meals on special occasions in the team and even had a Christmas party
Yes
It's a great way to integrate into work life and the support you receive here in your placements is amazing
Always ask questions, it's the best way to learn in a company like this as there are so many people you meet from different careers.
